My Favorite Place is Deep Run Park

My favorite place is Deep Run Park. I like it because it is quiet and peaceful, and it has lots of animals. I've seen squirrels, mallard ducks, Canadian geese, red-winged blackbirds, a great blue heron, a cottontail rabbit, and toadlets. I have heard the loud call of the bullfrog, but I have never seen one. In the middle of summer vacation, I went fishing with my dad, brother, and friends, when I saw these animals. I saw an Alaskan husky that had been on a dog show on TV.

The mornings were a nice time to be out there, and fish. So far, I have caught four types of fish. The different types were sunfish, bass, catfish, and crappie. My smallest was a sunfish, about four inches long. The largest one was a catfish that was fifteen inches long. My biggest bass was eleven and a half inches long. Catfish were the most difficult to catch because even the small ones put up strong fights when you hooked them and reeled them in. The best thing that happened to me was that there was a Cub Scout fishing tournament and I won first place for catching the most fish and the biggest fish. I gained all my experience by starting out fishing at Deep Run Park.
